A funeral service for Clyde A. McBride, 94, of Davenport, was held at noon on Tuesday, July 24, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mr. McBride died Friday, July 20, 2018, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Clyde McBride was born Aug. 14, 1923, on the family farm in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the son of John and Sara (Stapp) McBride.
He married Reva Couchman on Oct. 9, 1948, in Princeton, Ill. She died Dec. 4, 2010.
He worked on the family farm and later at Oscar Mayer until retirement.
He was a former member of Colter Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Jason Franklin, Mindy (Chad) Watson, Kelly Dirksen, and Patrick McBride; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry McBride; a daughter-in-law, Kathy (Beaner) McBride; and a sister-in-law, Coy Couchman.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Franklin; a son, Rickey McBride; and a brother, Paul McBride.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
