Obituary: Beverly Lensch

A funeral service celebrating the life of Beverly A. Lensch, 81, of Davenport, formerly of Walcott, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation was Wednesday, May 22, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lensch died Monday, May 20, 2019, at The Fountains.

Beverly Geurink was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Clarence and Norma (Illian) Geurink.

She married Myron Lensch on Sept. 22, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Davenport.

She worked in customer service at Von Maur for 20 years.

She was a member of PEO, Questers, and a 25-year member of the Walcott American Legion Auxiliary.

Her hobbies were watching sports, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Michelle (Don) Schaeffer, Davenport, Lee Lensch, DeWitt, and Melanie (Marty) Richardson, Ankeny; her grandchildren, Brook, Caitlin (Scott), Kelsey, Courtney, Amanda (Will), Drew (Hannah), Jake (Meg), Ben, and Erin (Alex); three great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Cindy) Geurink, East Moline; and a sister-in-law, Cheri Geurink, Stockton.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Geurink.
