Obituary: Arlene Dibbern

A funeral service for Arlene Dibbern, 88, of Davenport, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Grace United Methodist Church, Davenport. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Dibbern died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018.

Arlene Schroeder was born in Davenport, the daughter of John and Viola Schroeder. She graduated from Davenport High School.

She married William Dibbern on Sept. 20, 1952, at the Berea Congressional Church.

She worked at Schramm & Schmeig, Edwards Bakery, Target and Bishops, and was a homemaker.

Her hobbies were volunteering at church, playing bingo, watching baseball, collecting Snow White memorabilia, and she was a founding member of her card club.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Ginny, William (Karla), Eric (Tracy),w Marcia (Craig) Canfield, and Chris (Andrea); her grandchildren, Chris, Jennifer, William III, Kevin, Troy, Tina, Timothy, Onna, Cruz, Noah, Coehn, Samarh, Owen and Emma; a sister, Shirley Stockwell; a sister-in-law, Maureen Sears; and a brother-in-law, Wyatt Frahm.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah Dibbern; a sister, Diana Frahm; and her brothers, John and Robert.

Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church boiler fund.
