A funeral service for Annie Mary Flatman, 88, of Davenport, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the mortuary, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Flatman died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.
Annie Ehli was born Oct. 16, 1929, in DuPree, S.D., the daughter of John and Rosella (Hager) Ehli.
She married Clarence Flatman on Oct. 8, 1947, in Rapid City, S.D. He died April 2, 2000.
She worked for The Quad-City Times for 39 years, in the mailroom and later in the advertising department. She then worked at the Brandt Company until her retirement at age 80.
She attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport.
Survivors include her children, Annie (Robert) Bracamonte, Tucson, Ariz., Clarence “John” (Sue) Flatman Jr., Toulon, Ill., and Francis Flatman, Davenport; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Barbara Bringman, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Caroline Rouix, Baker City, Ore.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, King’s Harvest Homeless Shelter, or the American Cancer Society.
