Mary Lou Voss of Bennett will celebrate her 90th birthday with a family dinner. Mary Lou was born in rural Cedar County to Ludwig and Beulah Ketelsen on Aug. 12, 1927. She married Vernon Voss in May of 1947. The couple still lives on the farm near Bennett where they began farming together 70 years ago.
Together they have three children, Dale (Barb) Voss of Wilton, Cliff (Maurita) Voss of Davenport and LuAnn (Tony) Wulf of Walcott.
Their grandchildren are: Derrin, Casey, Joshua, Clint and Lucas Voss; Curtis, Warren and Wesley Wulf; Angela Dann; Tia McQuillen; and Tessa Causley.
They have 16 great-grandchildren: Alayna and Damion Dann; Vyvian, Oliver, Colton, Braxton, Keaton and Braeyden Voss; Hunter and Heyden McQuillen; Kiara & Kendrick Causley; and Ryan, Adam, Gavin and Leni Ann Wulf.
Their step great-grandchildren are William, Zach, Hilary and Katelyn and their step great great-grandchildren are Liam and Briar Rose.
