Lee Muller to note 90th birthday with open house

Lee Muller of Walcott will be celebrating his 90th birthday with an open house on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 1-4 p.m. at the Walcott American Legion. A lunch will be served, and all friends and family are invited to attend. No gifts please, just the honor of your presence.

Lee was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Scott County, the son of Herbert and Dora (Heuer) Muller. He is a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1952-1953. In 1955, he married Nancy Erickson; she is deceased. He married Mary Ann Storjohann in 1987.

Lee worked at Farmers Elevator (now River Valley) for 40 years, and was manager for 26 years, retiring in 1994.

His children include Sharon (Verne) VanDeWalle of Durant, and Suzanne Winkler (Paul Hart) of Davenport. He has three grandchildren: Mark (Karen) VanDeWalle, Madeline (Chase) Winkler Clemons, and Anna Winkler. He has one great-grandchild.
