Mike and Marlo Laing of Riverside will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house. The party that had been planned for April 4 has been postponed until June 6 due to health concerns. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 2-4 p.m. at the Hills Community Center, 110 Main St., Hills, Iowa. No gifts, please.
Marlo Ganzer and Mike Laing were married April 4, 1970, at Red Oak Presbyterian Church in rural Tipton.
Mr. Laing was a police lieutenant with The University of Iowa Department of Public Safety, retiring in 2011. Mrs. Laing was employed with The University of Iowa Employment Services, retiring in 2015.
They are the parents of Tracy VandenBerg and Tonia Laing. They have one grandchild, Ryan VandenBerg.
