Jim and Karen Hamann of Long Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family dinner. Guests included Mrs. Hamann’s parents, Melvin and Irene Duwa, who remarked how special it was they were able to share the occasion with one of their children. The Hamanns will also celebrate with a cruise and coastal trip in New England and Canada.
Karen Duwa and Mr. Hamann were married Sept. 9, 1967, at St. James Catholic Church, Toronto, Iowa.
They are the parents of Jason (Sherry) Hamann of Blaine, Minn., and Michele Hamann (Chris Vershaw) of Davenport. Their grandchildren are Anna and Logan.
