Erma Stalnaker to note 90th birthday with open house

Erma “Pinky” Stalnaker of Eldridge will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house on Saturday, July 7, from 2-4 p.m. in the ROCK Center at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Eldridge. All family and friends are invited to attend. No gifts please, just hugs and good wishes.

Pinky was born July 6, 1928, in Akron, Ohio, to Sivey and Gula Stephens. She married Earl Stalnaker on Aug. 31, 1944. He died in 1996.

Together they had three children: Sandra (Dan) Wilson of Pepper Pike, Ohio, Russell (Susan) Stalnaker of Westerville, Ohio, and Richard (Charlene) Stalnaker of Flagler Beach, Fla. Pinky and Earl raised their family in Ohio and moved to Eldridge in 1976.

She is a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was active in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and has crocheted over 750 names for friends.

She has six grandchildren, Daniel Wilson, Matt Wilson, Angie Wilson, Alissa Snodgrass, Richelle Kuboushek, and Jenni Stalnaker. She also has eight great-grandchildren.
