Duane and Linda Bachus of Durant celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family gatherings in Dubuque and Galena. Duane and Linda were married July 8, 1967 at the United Methodist Church in Tipton.
Duane worked as a human resource manager for HWH Corporation, retiring after 18 years. Linda worked as a finance director for the United Way of Muscatine, retiring after 18 years. She also served for 2-1/2 years at the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine.
Duane and Linda are the parents of Michael (Missy) Bachus and Kevin (Rose) Bachus, all of Solon. Their grandchildren are Tori, Rick, Jenna, Heather and Jeremy. They have one great-grandson, Sawyer.
