A funeral service for Jean Helen Lindstrom, 75, of Davenport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 (today), at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation was Tuesday, June 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the church. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Lindstrom died Saturday, June 9, 2018.
Jean Roth was born Oct. 30, 1942, in Davenport, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Talik) Roth. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Ambrose University.
She married Jerry Lindstrom Aug. 21, 1965.
She taught at Trinity Lutheran School in Davenport until relocating to Madison, Wis. While in Madison, she was a reading tutor and started a backpack program for elementary students.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served in many capacities, including Bible Study, leading Altar Guild, and conferences. She also volunteered in many reading programs.
Survivors include her husband; her daughters, Kimberly Lindstrom, Davenport, and Kristine (Paul) Stevenson, Clear Lake; her grandsons, Noah and Andrew (AJ) Stevenson; a sister-in-law, Pat (Jerry) Getter; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Marsha) Lindstrom.
