Cora was born May 14, 1916, in Aneroid, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Edward and Selma Spiess. She married Louis Allers on Jan. 6, 1940, in Davenport. He passed away in September 1982. She worked in fabric stores and was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and family.
Her children are Joyce (Larry) Frandsen of DeWitt, Edward (Marlene) Allers of Davenport, Vern (Linda) Allers of Surprise, Ariz., and Louie Allers of Blue Grass. She has nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
