Kenneth and Judi Connor and DeWayne and Barbara Connor are celebrating their 50-year anniversaries with a luncheon on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 110 S. Houser St., Muscatine. All friends and family are invited to attend. No gifts, please.
Judith Rankins and Kenneth Connor were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 1967. Judi is a retired cosmetologist and is employed with CSC Security Services in Iowa City at Kinnick Stadium. She is also the executive director of C & S Pageant Systems, Inc. Kenneth has a farming partnership with his brother DeWayne.
Their children are Tracy (Allen) Boyce, Jodi Connor, Stephanie (Michael) Terry and the late Tonya Sue. They have seven grandchildren: Kalley, Madison, Brock, Johnny, Connor, Brynn and Jonah.
Barbara Shepherd and DeWayne Connor were united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1967. Barbara is a part-time associate at Kum & Go while DeWayne has a farming partnership with Kenneth.
Their children are Sherri Connor of Sarasota, Florida, Jennifer (Barrion) Staples of Rock Island and Michael (Molly) Connor of Muscatine.
Barbara and DeWayne’s grandchildren are Kelsey, Morgan, Elijah, Caleb, Macy and Meredith. They have eight great-grandchildren.
