Gary and Marlene Burkamper of Dixon will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on Dec. 1.
Marlene A. Kleppe and Gary L. Burkamper were married Dec. 1, 1962, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant.
Mrs. Burkamper was employed as a secretary for the superintendent of North Scott Schools. Mr. Burkamper was employed as a tool designer for Caterpillar, the Rock Island Arsenal, and Hoof Products Co. They are both retired.
They are the parents of Brenda (Gaylon) Wiese of Durant, and Becky (Mark) King of New Liberty.
They have two grandchildren, Adam Wiese and Amanda Wiese; three step-grandchildren, Shelby (Curtis) Hall, Carey (Susan) King, and Corey (Brit) King; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
