Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McVey
Kendra Lei Bivens and Jacob Rex McVey were united in marriage July 29, 2017, at the Stern Center, Rock Island. Pastor Steffan Nass officiated the ceremony.
Kirsten Bivens served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennilee Silvis, Abbie Gillespie and Samantha Henningsen. Delaney Silvis and Breanna Silvis were flower girls.
Darren Keppy served as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Keppy, Aaron Verhorevoort and Adam Bader. Robert Gillespie and Michael Silvis served as ushers. Easton Silvis and Lucas McVey were ring bearers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Stern Center, with music and entertainment by Sas DJ.
Kendra is the daughter of Scott and Teresa Bivens of Long Grove. She is employed as a third-grade teacher at Ed White Elementary School, Eldridge.
Jacob is the son of Rex and Mary Jo McVey of Eldridge. He is employed as a product manager at Monoxivent, Rock Island.
The couple will take a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, this winter.
They reside in Eldridge.
