Alex Barr and David Funk
Alex Kay Ann Barr of DeWitt and David Allen Funk of Ellis, Kan., are engaged to be married.
Alex is the daughter of Dan and Kelly Barr of DeWitt. She graduated from DeWitt Central High School and the University of Northern Iowa. She recently moved to Ellis.
Dave is the son of Dennis and Lori Funk of Hillsboro, Kan. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and Fort Hays University. He is employed at Lang Diesel as a technology specialist.
The couple will be married Jan. 6, 2018, in Hays, Kan., with a reception to follow.
A second reception will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 20 at Murphy’s Tap in DeWitt for friends and family unable to attend the wedding.
