Lorene and Donnie Altenhofen of Eldridge will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children. Friends and family may call from 2-8 p.m. on April 28 at the Whispering Pines Pavilion at Scott County Park. No gifts, please.
Lorene T. Willis and Donnie L. Altenhofen were married April 20, 1968, in Harper, Iowa.
Mrs. Altenhofen is retired from Advanced Eyecare, Eldridge. Mr. Altenhofen is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Eldridge.
They are the parents of Donavon (Jodi) Altenhofen of Donahue, Amy (Todd) Lenig of Ankeny, Amanda (Matt) Jones of Grinnell, and Andrew (Whitney) Altenhofen of Long Grove.
Their grandchildren are Shelby (Jason) Martin, Zach Altenhofen, Clara Lenig, Anna Lenig, Edie Mae Lenig, Vivian Lenig, Morgan Jones, and Dawson Jones. They have one great-grandchild.
