Such timing as this! Fifty years ago the young Robert D. Ray, in his first campaign for governor of Iowa, promoted his candidacy on the steps of the James Mohr family farmhouse west of Eldridge. That is the image on page 1 of The NSP's "Pages from the Past" on page 3B of this week's paper.
