Lois Cox
Services for Lois A. Cox, 72, of Walcott, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18 at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, with the Father Brian Shepley officiating. Pallbearers were Jacob Dusenberry, John Robertson, Jason Dondlinger, Michael Heister, and Kevin and Keith Feller. Interment was in the Walcott Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.
Lois Laychak was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Thomas) Laychak. She married Raymond Cox on March 8, 1958, in Belvidere, Ill. He died May 29, 2005.
Mrs. Cox worked at the Walcott Trust and Savings Bank for 43 years.
Her hobbies were the Chicago Bears, NASCAR, and in earlier years watching her husband race stockcars.
A memorial has been established.
Survivors include sons, Ray Jr. and wife Michelle, Maquoketa, and Rick, Walcott; grandchildren, Ricky Jr., Ryan, Kayla, Katie and Michael; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol and husband Chuck Muersch, Chicago.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Laychak.
