Services for Lillian E. (Untiedt) Fick, 91, of Walcott, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, with Pastor Nick Needham officiating. Pallbearers were Tom Treadwell, Jim Latorraca, LeMuel Collins, Brian and Brent Fick, and Larry Geurink. Interment was at the Walcott Cemetery.
Mrs. Fick died on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Lillian Untiedt was born Jan. 3, 1922, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Ella (Lamp) Untiedt. She graduated from Durant High School in 1940. She married Robert Fick on June 28, 1941, in Canton, Mo. He died Aug. 14, 1973.
Mrs. Fick worked as a bus driver for the Blue Grass and Davenport school systems, in food services for Royal Neighbors, the Davenport Osteopathic Hospital, and the Walcott School system. She and her husband farmed in the Blue Grass area for many years.
Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, baking, canning, dancing, Chicago Cubs, and spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to the Walcott Fire Department or the Durant Ambulance.
Survivors include daughters, Beverly and husband Jim Latorraca, Eagan, Minn., and Debra Fick, Urbandale; sons, Stan and wife Mary, Coal Valley, Ill., Gaylen, Walcott, and Ron and wife Rita, Durant; and grandchildren, Whitney and LeMuel Collins, and Brian and Brent Fick.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Allen; a sister, Elvera Treadwell; and a brother, Elmer Untiedt.
