Joel Henson
Funeral services for Joel Henson, 53, of Blue Grass, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at The Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Henson died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his home.
Joel Henson was born Aug. 30, 1959, in Davenport, the son of Troy and Carolyn (Peters) Henson. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1977. He married Carol Broderson on Nov. 14, 1980, in Davenport.
Mr. Henson was employed by American Air Filter, and then at Brammer Manufacturing for almost 20 years. He was currently employed at HON Industries as a production supervisor.
His hobbies were playing poker, boating, fishing, spending time with his family, carpentry, mechanics and fixing things.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include a daughter, Elise and boyfriend, Andrew; a son, Eric and fiancée, Rachel; granddaughters, Ava and Lylah; mother, Carolyn; brother, Scott; and former wife, Carol.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
