Funeral services for Ernest “Ernie” Speth Jr., 82, of Davenport, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial was in the Fairmount Cemetery.
Mr. Speth died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Trinity Bettendorf.
He married Kathryn Fuller in 1954. They later divorced. Mr. Speth was involved in local stock car racing for over 30 years.
Survivors include children, Michael, Stockton, Steve and Kimberly, and Connie Noe and Kevin Wall, all of Davenport; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Terronez; a brother, Jimmy; and a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Harold Hansen, Davenport.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray, and a brother-in-law, Lencho Terronez.
