Celebration of Life Services for T. Victor Clark, 80, of Davenport, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at Christ United Methodist Church, Davenport. Burial was in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clark died unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport.
Victor Clark was born in 1932 in Rockford, Ill., the son of Thomas and Mildred Clark. He graduated from Davenport High School in 1950, and attended Iowa State University. He married Zelda Orcutt on April 12, 1952, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Davenport.
Mr. Clark was the owner of Clark Water Equipment Co., Davenport, for 43 years.
He was a founding member of Christ United Methodist Church and served on its building committee. He was president of the Suppliers Division of the National Water Well Association, a past president of the Iowa Pony of America Club, served on the board of directors of the National Pony of American Club, and was past president and 30-year member of the Mississippi Valley Fair Board.
His hobbies were showing horses across the U.S. with his children, woodworking, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their activities and sports.
Memorials may be made to Children of Poverty Mission of Christ United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; children, Kit (Diane), and Jo Dee (Tim) Gau, all of Davenport, Kevin (Terri), St. Charles, Mo., Kerry (Linda), Eldridge, Missy Timmerman (fiancé Jeff Wilson), and Kris Clark (fiancée Melody Brantner) and Kory (Janel), all of Blue Grass; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma Schwant, Hilton Head, S.C.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Snyder.
