Nancy Johnson
Funeral Services for Nancy A. Johnson, 75, of Moline, Ill., were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 4 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation was from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at the funeral home. Burial was at Moline Memorial Park.
Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Nancy Plavak was born on Sept. 22, 1937, in East Moline, the daughter of Emil and Nellie (Sutherland) Plavak. She married Donald L. Johnson on Sept. 23, 1961. He died Dec. 15, 1987.
Mrs. Johnson worked part time at the Rock Island Arsenal, Pankey’s Bait Shop, City Ramp of Rock Island, and Wagner’s Cleaners in Bettendorf.
She was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, and was a member of PTA.
Her hobbies were knitting, reading, and trips to Branson, Mo.
Memorials may be made to Faith Evangelical Free Church in Moline.
Survivors include a son, Kirk, Eldridge; a brother, James (Joyce) Plavak, Maysville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark, and a brother, Michael Plavak.
