Funeral services to celebrate the life of William “Billy” Malec Marolf, 32, of Davenport, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. The Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Marolf died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, surrounded by his mother and friends.
Billy Marolf was born March 13, 1980, in Davenport, the son of Marlene and Albert Marolf. He attended grade school at Truman Elementary, Davenport. He graduated in 2001.
Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport.
Survivors include his mother, Marlene Marolf, Davenport; sisters, Sarah (Derrick) Freeland, Edwards, Ill., and Cynthia Marolf Beaudette, Blue Grass; brothers, Gearald (Kim) Tague, Davenport, and Albert Marolf Jr. (Tracy) of Iowa and Illinois, Steve Marolf, and Doug Marolf (Christine), all of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Misty Tague of Texas.
