Funeral services and a Memorial Mass of Christian burial for Patricia Lynn Verkler, 58, of Walcott, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport. The body was cremated and inurnment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. The Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Verkler died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at ManorCare Utica Ridge, Davenport.
Patricia Verkler was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Davenport, the daughter of Clement and Mary (Turnquist) Verkler.
She had worked for several companies over the years, including Cummins, American Inventory, and Vans Systems, retiring for health reasons.
Her hobbies were dancing and modeling in earlier years, and spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include daughters, Stacy and Heather Van Hoosier, both of Davenport; grandchildren, Shakayla, Amyrah, Mike, and Alexandria; her father, Joe (Shirley Miller) Verkler, Davenport; a sister, Kathleen Neels, Carbon Cliff; brothers, George (Tracie) of Oklahoma, Kevin (Shirlee), Thornton, Colo., and Rick (Jo), Donahue; a special friend, Glen VanDee, Walcott; and a brother-in-law, Tom (Jen) Scheetz, Bettendorf.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
