Funeral services for Maxine “Joyce” Luckritz, 86, of Clinton, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Lyons United Methodist Church, Clinton. Pallbearers were grandsons, Kory and Kelly Cousins, Eddie and Josh Luckritz, Casey Turner, Mike Larson, and Justin Soenksen. Burial was in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Luckritz died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at her home.
Maxine Neumann was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Clinton, the daughter of John and Emma (Weber) Neumann. She graduated from Clinton High School. She married Edwin Luckritz on June 12, 1948, in Clinton.
Mrs. Luckritz was a homemaker and had worked at Clinton Auto Licensing, Burpee Seed Co., and A.C. Nielsen Company. She and her husband owned and operated Mr. Ed’s Restaurant in Clinton.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Her hobbies were baking, sewing, crafts, ceramics, watching her grandchildren at sporting and music events, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Cubs.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; children, Jeffrey (Olive), McCausland, Jill (Roger) Cousins, Marion, and John (Paula), and Jacie Turner, all of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Hege, Clinton.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
