Mary West
Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Mary B. West, 88, of LeClaire, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 (today) at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church, LeClaire. Burial will be in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. West died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Manor Care Utica Ridge, Davenport.
Mary McHale was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Camden, N.J., the daughter of Jack and Winnie (Gallagher) McHale. She married Robert West in October 1943 in Catherine, Mo. They relocated to Princeton.
Mrs. West was employed with Y & S Candies in Moline. She retired as an office manager in 1989 after 22 years.
Her hobbies were her family, camping trips, traveling, taking photos, and collecting stamps and coins.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Survivors include sons, Bob and wife Sheryn, LeClaire, John and wife Peg, Elvira; and Jeff and wife Stacy, Pleasant Valley; a daughter-in-law, Deb West, LeClaire; grandchildren, Tonya (Tim) Young, Joe, Ben, Neil (Tammy), Ryan (Lisa), Brady (Becky), and Bryan West; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike; a grandson, Jason West; a sister, Winnie Walker; and a brother, Jack McHale.
