A memorial service to celebrate the life of Karen Wetteland, 68, of Donahue, was held on Sunday, Dec. 30 at Don’s Pub, Donahue.
Mrs. Wetteland died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Karen Pinter was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Paxton, Ill., the daughter of Marion and Marjorie (Purn) Pinter. She married Palmer Wetteland in Davenport. He died June 28, 2012.
Mrs. Wetteland worked for Sears Manufacturing for 27 years.
Her hobbies were enjoying time with her family.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.
Survivors include children, Stacy Bennett, and Michael Wetteland, Davenport, and Wesley Wetteland, Donahue; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Alan and Ronnie.
