James “Jim” Michael Ingram, 77, of Northbrook, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Chicago. A private memorial service was held at the Church of St. James the Less, Northfield, Ill.
James Ingram was born Oct. 29, 1935, in Lyndon, Ill., the son of Orville and Mary (Widle) Ingram. He graduated from what is now Davenport Central High School in 1954. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa and later his master’s degree in guidance and counseling from UNI. He married Ann Taylor Robertson on Oct. 29, 2011. Previous marriages were to Miriam Underwood Kelm and the late Sandra Christopher Ingram.
Mr. Ingram spent most of his career as director of guidance at West High School in Davenport. He retired as director of pupil services for the Davenport School District.
He was active in his church and had served as a member of the Long Grove City Council.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; children, Dirk and Andrea Ingram; a son-in-law, John Kosirog; a granddaughter, Anna Kosirog; a sister, Kathy (George) Regopoulos; stepmother, Alice Ingram; stepchildren, Andrea Christopher, Sara (Mike) Kuhl, Clint (Amy) Christopher, Amy (Tom Pope) Taylor, Scott (Cyndi) Taylor, Timothy (Jan) Taylor; and step-grandchildren, Courtney, Grant, and Reid Kuhl, Ella, Brylee and Faith Christopher, and Ben, Nathan, and Alec Apelian.
