A memorial service for Gary Dean Lee, 54, of Long Grove, was held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport. The body was cremated.
Mr. Lee died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his home.
Gary Lee was born Aug. 3, 1958, in Iowa City, the son of Donald and Lavonne (Casner) Lee.
Mr. Lee was a volunteer carpenter at Pioneer Village. He was also active in the Q-C Air Show, where he served as director of flight operations.
He was a member of the Scott County Sheriff’s Posse, Davenport Noon Optimist Club and the LeClaire Fire Department.
His hobbies were volunteering in the community, his family, music, his dogs, and various interests.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include daughters, Amanda (Kyle) Norris, and Jennifer Barham; a grandson, Emmett Norris; his father, Donald; and siblings, Janet Rangel, Dennis (Rita) Lee, Kevin (Christine) Lee, and Nancy (Clint) Galyon.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
