A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Beverly M. Brundies, 68, of Bettendorf, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial was at the Rock Island National Cemetery. The McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brundies died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her home.
Beverly Grubb was born July 25, 1944, in San Rafael, Calif., the daughter of John and Gertrude (Barth) Grubb. She married William Brundies on April 7, 1962, in San Gabriel, Calif.
Mrs. Brundies had worked as a supervising cook for California Youth Authority.
She was a member of the church.
Her hobbies were crafts, plants, photography, and music.

Survivors include her husband; daughters, Trudina (Allen) Shafer, Blue Grass, and Elizabeth (Steve) Davis, Bettendorf; sons, William (Latosha), Bettendorf, and Robert (Roberta), Beaumont, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joanne Henning, Billie Ishmael, Shelley Ostarello, Vickie Grubb, and Cheryl Moniz.
She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, and brothers, George and Wendell Grubb.
