Funeral services for Urban “Tony” Praught, Silvis, Ill., were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment was in the St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline. The Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Praught died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Tony Praught was born April 10, 1933, in Grand River, Prince Edward Island, Canada, the son of Sanctinus and Minnie (Peters) Praught. He married Marie Bray on March 7, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, East Moline. Mr. Praught served in the Canadian Army during the Korean conflict.
He retired as a maintenance welder from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline.His hobbies were wintering with his wife in Clearwater, Fla., horse races, gardening, and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Bryan and wife Andrea, Naperville, Ill., Joseph and wife Michelle, Eldridge, and Jerome and wife Molly, Moline; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Raspa of North Carolina, Gladys Panzl and Lillian Rogers, both of Canada, Irene Conn, New York, and Trudy DeLarosa, East Moline; and brothers, Jack and Bill, both of Canada.
