Funeral services for Rose B. Deffenbaugh, 74, of Davenport, were held at noon on Friday, Dec. 14 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport.
Rose Mangels was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Davenport, the daughter of George and Luella (Ripley) Mangels. She married Earl Linhart. She later married Clifton Deffenbaugh on May 17, 1986.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh retired in 2003 as a supervisor in the housekeeping department at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.
Her hobbies were watching sports, dancing, and spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Survivors include daughters, Carol (Kirk) VanHoorebeck and Lois (Michael) Frueh, all of Davenport; sons, Dewey Linhart (Karen) Linhart, Kenosha, Wis., David Linhart (Michele), Maquoketa, and Daniel Linhart (Jamie), Davenport; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Loretta Pridmore of Alabama; and brothers, Rueben Mangels, Blue Grass, and George Mangels, Davenport.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Mangels.
