A funeral service to celebrate the life of Luanna Leuth, 77, of LeClaire, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 (today) at First Presbyterian Church, LeClaire. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. The McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Leuth died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Luanna Carstens was born July 11, 1935, in Argo, the daughter of Alfred and Eulalia (Knipfer) Carstens. She was a graduate of LeClaire High School. She married Rodney Leuth on Aug. 20, 1955, in LeClaire. He died Sept. 20, 1998.
She had worked for many years as a secretary for Modern Woodman Insurance Company of Rock Island. Mrs. Leuth was a former member of the LeClaire Civic Club.
Her hobbies were volunteering at the Buffalo Bill Museum in LeClaire, watching cardinals outside her home and her cats.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Buffalo Bill Museum.
Survivors include a sister, Vivian (Frank) Martin, LeClaire; a brother, Carl (Carolyn) Carstens, LeClaire; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Leuth.
