Gwen Tank
Gwen Joyce Wooldridge Tank, age 80, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly and Jersey Ridge in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Gwen was born in 1932 in Davenport, Iowa, to Ralph and Melva Hildebrandt. She was united in marriage to Keith Wooldridge on Jan. 1, 1951, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1990. She later married Albert Tank on June 12, 1991, in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Gwen enjoyed dancing, shopping, playing cards with friends, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Tank of Davenport; a daughter, Sherry (John) Kelly of Davenport; sons, Bradley (Carrie) Wooldridge of Bettendorf, and James (Lisa) Wooldridge of Davenport; stepchildren, Joan (Tom) Kaasa of Long Grove, and David Tank of Springfield, Ky.; six grandchildren, Chad (Brandy) Kononovs, Brad Kononovs, Lindsey Wooldridge, Charlie Wooldridge, Matt (Heidi) Erickson, and Zach Tank; and two great grandchildren, Ella and Emma Erickson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Nicole Wooldridge.
