Obituary: Curtis J. Wolf

Funeral services for Curtis J. Wolf, 71, of Muscatine, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Eldon (Iowa) Christian Church. Burial was in the Eldon Cemetery. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Wolf died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.

Curtis Wolf was born May 14, 1941, in Washington, the son of Bernard and Anna (Schmitt) Wolf. He graduated from Eldon High School and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kingsport, N.Y., in 1965.

Mr. Wolf worked as a maritime engineer and then the Rock Island Railroad until it closed.

His hobbies were traveling, listening to music, painting, mushrooming, playing guitar, feeding ducks, hunting, and visiting with his family.

Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Meals on Wheels Program.

Survivors include a sister, Connie Newton, Blue Grass; and a brother, Clair, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Phillips, and a brother, Craig.
