A memorial service for Cheryl Ann Enderle Pople, 74, of Rock Island, was held at noon on Friday, Dec. 14 at South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. Private burial was in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Enderle-Pople died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at her home, after a brief illness.
Cheryl Whitcomb was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Davenport, the daughter of Clifford and Delora (Call) Whitcomb. She married Richard Enderle in Davenport in December 1956. She married Murray Pople in June 2001 in Rock Island.
She was a former board member of Quad-City Symphony and had volunteered for WVIK radio; Genesis West Auxiliary, Easter Star, Mohassan Caldron 2, the church, and had been active in Sternwheelers Mariners doing mission work in the U.S., Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA, and Band Parents.
Her hobby was music.

Survivors include her husband, Murray; daughters, Julia (Jeffrey) Petersen, Park View, and Lisa (David) Finlayson, Auburn, Wash.; a son, Scott Enderle (Julie), Frisco, Texas; her stepchildren; grandchildren, Emily Schaub, Adam Petersen, Joanna Finlayson, and Katie and John Enderle; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (Ardo) Holmgrain, Rock Island.
