Donald Fister
A Celebration of Life Service for Donald Fister, 68, of Blue Grass, was held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at the First Presbyterian Church, Davenport.
Mr. Fister died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.
Donald Fister was born Nov. 16, 1943, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Roy and Sione Fister. He married Crispin Farnsworth on Nov. 2, 1984.
Mr. Fister drove a semi, retiring in 2006. He worked part-time doing farm work.
His hobbies included tractor pulls, farm sales, NASCAR racing, reading, playing black jack on the boat, and dancing. He had shown horses and was president of the Iowa Pinto Horse Association.
Memorials may be made to the church or Blue Grass Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna (Ryan) Jessen; sons, Doug (Barb), Des Moines, and Scott (Christy), Lytton, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Tina Baker, Davenport; seven grandchildren; sisters, Linda Johnston, Rippy, Iowa, and Janice (Stacy) MacDonald, Scranton; and a brother, Les, Jefferson.
