Terri Francis-Horton
Terri Francis-Horton, 55, of Davenport, died on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Davenport, after a long, hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer. A memorial visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 29 at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
Terri Francis was born Dec. 18, 1956, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Loder) Francis. She was formerly married to Charles F. Horton Jr. of Davenport.
She worked for 20 years at Community Action of Eastern Iowa, mostly recently as a receptionist.
Her hobbies were animals, watching cooking shows, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Norma Jean Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research or to the Scott County Humane Society.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie (James) Fisher, LeClaire, and Charles E.F. Jr., Stacey Horton, and Melissa Reyes, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Zachary Francis, Matthew Fisher, Lilliana Smith and Salissya Gambleton; and siblings, Barb Quinn, Davenport, William (Bonnie) Francis, Coal Valley, Raymond Francis, Silvis, and Richard Francis, Loves Park, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
