John Kautz
Funeral services to celebrate the life of John Edwin Kautz, 70, of Muscatine, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 (today) at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo.
Mr. Kautz died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Carrington Place, Muscatine.
John Kautz was born Jan. 29, 1942, the son of Edwin and Margaret (Watson) Kautz. He married Ruth Ahrens on Aug. 9, 1975.
His hobbies were camping and collecting Lionel Trains.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lisa Hocke (Brian Schell); stepchildren, Mike Samuelson, Pam Paul, and Craig Samuelson; grandchildren, Phoenix, Preston, and Phoebe Hocke, James (Valerie) Paul, Jacob (Amanda) Paul, Joseph Paul, Jeremiah Paul, April Samuelson, and Kristy Samuelson; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Kautz, Buffalo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Jessie Hocke; a grandson, Zachariah Hocke; a great-granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Kautz.
