Democratic State Senator Frank Wood of Eldridge. The district covers Liberty, Cleona, Hickory Grove, Sheridan, Blue Grass and Buffalo townships, plus precincts 21, 73, 81 and 83 in Davenport, and the cities of Dixon, Donahue, Walcott, Blue Grass, Maysville, Donahue, Long Grove and Eldridge:
• Paustian: Public offices: Serving his first term in the Iowa House. Education: Bachelor of science in animal science from South Dakota State University, 1978. Employment: Vice president, Paustian Enterprises, Ltd., family farming operation. Family: Married with two children.
• Wood: Public offices: Mayor of Eldridge (2001-2004); state senator (2004-2008). Education: BA degree in physical education from Augustana College, Rock Island; master of science degree in educational administration from Western Illinois; received CAA (Certified Athletic Administration certificate) in 2012 from NIAAA. Employment: Associate principal, North Scott High School. Family: Married with two children and five grandchildren.
