Week 6 Preview: Lancers look to take down Davenport West in Homecoming game

North Scott will look to notch its third victory of the season when they host Davenport West (1-4) tonight at Lancer Stadium. VIDEO highlights will be posted on www.northscottpress.com after the game.

The Lancers (2-3) are coming off a 28-3 road loss to Pleasant Valley. The game was actually much closer than the final score indicated, as the Lancers jumped out to a 3-0 lead and trailed only 7-3 heading into halftime.

West is coming off a Week 5 victory over Davenport North. The win snapped an 18-game losing streak for the Falcons.

If North Scott can pull off the win tonight, it would solidify the Lancers’ position in the middle of the MAC standings.

Pleasant Valley and Muscatine, who will square off tonight at Muscatine, both boast 5-0 records. Assumption (4-1) will visit Davenport Central (3-2) this evening, and Bettendorf (4-2) earned a win Thursday night over winless Davenport North. Burlington and Clinton, both 1-4 on the year, will both try to get their second win of the year when the face off at Clinton tonight.
