Christine Louise Mason and Scott Robert Braden
Christine Louise Mason and Scott Robert Braden, both of Naples, Fla., were married Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. A reception and dinner/dance followed at the River Center, Davenport. Parents of the couple are Bob and Mary Anne Braden, Eldridge; Cathy Murphy, Syracruse, Mo., and Joe Mason Jr. of the Phillipines. Grandparents are George and Lois Braden, Eldridge; Jean Burke, Charlotte, and the late George Burke; Sandra Mason, Naples, and the late Joseph Mason.
Jenni Braden, sister of the groom, from Naples, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Reed, Winooski, Vt., and Jill Longfellow, Monica Mason, and Alisa Smith, all of Naples. They wore long claret gowns and carried an assortment of fall flowers. Readers were Mia Brighi, Naples; Elise Webber, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and Jessica Burke, Burbank, Calif. All are cousins of the couple. The bride’s pug, “Meatball,” served as honorary ring bearer.
Mike Braden was his brother’s best man. Other members of the wedding party were Eric Pohlman, Kansas City, Kan.; Jeff Less, Des Moines; Cole Wallace, Eldridge; Rex Parker, Fort Dodge; and Brandon Meyer, Cedar Rapids. Ushers were Trek Langenhan, Omaha, Neb.; Joe Mason, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Defelicio Dos Santos and Steve Longfellow, both of Naples; and Josh Braden, Stonehill, Tenn.
Christine is a graduate of West Orange High School, West Orange, N.J., and Gulfcoast University, Ft. Myers. She is an accountant with Gulfshores Insurance, Naples. Scottie is a 2003 graduate of North Scott High School and graduated from Loras College, Dubuque. He is an associate product manager with Arthrex Medical Corp., Naples.
The couple is planning a honeymoon to Europe at a later date.
