Dorothy Mohr of Eldridge is being honored by her children with an open house to celebrate her 90th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 26 at Grand Haven Retirement Community, Eldridge, from 2-4 p.m. Friends and family are invited to celebrate this special occasion. No gifts, please. Your presence is her gift.
Dorothy Frye was born Nov. 28, 1921, in Maysville, to Alfred and Jeannette (Grace) Frye. She married Harlan Mohr on June 7, 1942. He died Jan. 31, 1995. She is retired from being a stay-at-home mom.
Mrs. Mohr is a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoys Facebook, email, playing cards, and crocheting. She also enjoyed sewing.
She is the mother of Bruce (Yvonne Miller), Guffey, Colo./Ariz.; Marilyn (Wayne) Griffin, Eldridge; Ralph (Margaret Hart), Minneapolis, Minn.; Sara (Karl Joe) Nissen, Eldridge; Jeff, Lakeville, Minn.; Connie (Michael) Richards, Denver, Iowa; Chuck (Rebecca), Moscow Mills, Mo.; and Janet (Mick) Kutmas, Davenport. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
