Donovan and Kate Thiessen, Henderson, Nev., are the parents of a daughter born Sept. 13, 2011, at 8:10 a.m. at St. Rose Diminican Hospital, Henderson.
Melody Kim weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18 inches long.
She is welcomed by a brother, Odin, 2.
Grandparents are Don and Jody Thiessen, Long Grove; Dan and Eva Gerety, Henderson; and Kyong Sue and Soon Kim, Chino Hills, Calif.
Great-grandparents are Joann Gerety, Davenport; Delores Greim and Will Schwartz, both of Davenport; and Jack and Jan Collins, Clinton.
Great-great-grandmother is Edna Crider, Clinton.
